Letter from our President

The Swiss Society of New York is a leading cultural organization providing a platform for Swiss, Swiss-Americans or friends of Switzerland in the New York Tri-State Area.

We are a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and our mission is to encourage the extensive historical friendship between the United States and Switzerland and to support Swiss culture and heritage in the New York Tri-State Area and other regions of the United States.

In 2007 we celebrated our 125th Anniversary. Our annual cornerstone event - the gala Swiss Ball - and our support of the Swiss National Day Celebration are known to many. We are supported by the efforts of a volunteer Board of Directors, which is committed to providing a wide range of culturally stimulating and exciting events.

Our goal is to increase interest in Switzerland and its rich culture and heritage as well as the achievements of Swiss immigrants in the United States. We provide a platform to exchange ideas and make new business and/or personal friends who are interested in Switzerland and its affairs (check out our the monthly Swiss Networking Event).

If you are interested in a membership, please send us a completed membership application form. Your membership fee may be tax deductible as allowed for by the Internal Revenue Service.

Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to meeting you at one of our events.

Sincerely,

Beat F. Reinhart
President
